About us

We are all about fab finds: quality contemporary, unique and fabulous jewelry and accessories at affordable prices.

Accessory Foundry was started in 2011 by a mother-daughter team not lucky enough to live in an area with inspired independent boutiques. Tired of not finding uncommon accessories in the mall, we set out to fill the void between the inexpensive importers and the fine jewelers. What we offer has to show a lot of personality, be on trend without being too trendy, possess design vision, have quality components and hit a great price point. Our suppliers are wonderful people. They are creative, hardworking artisans and indie companies with quality and great design in mind.

The right jewelry and accessories can not only complete but also give your outfit several different impressions; they are an extension of your personality. We hope that your day will be a little brighter when you receive your package from the Accessory Foundry. There's a lot of love in that box!

Our quality

We do our best to ensure that the items we offer are nicely made. Most of our items are handmade and many have natural stones and other quality "ingredients". Metals described as "silver" or "gold" are base metals unless specifically stated otherwise, i.e. "sterling silver", "silver plate", "14K gold", "gold plate". The rising cost of sterling silver has made it rarer than in years past, but designers are compensating creatively by really stepping up the quality and finish of other metals.

Jewelry care

Keep jewelry clean and dry. It is best to remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing and while applying perfume or hairspray. Exposure to excessive humidity, moisture, or light can cause jewelry to tarnish. To slow down natural oxidation, store pieces individually in plastic zip lock bags. Pieces that have tarnished can be cleaned with a jewelry cloth but do this carefully if oxidation is part of the beauty of your piece.

Earn store credit for your referrals. If you have a blog, newsletter, facebook page, email account or website you can earn store credit on referrals. Every time your visitor makes a purchase, you earn store credit. Our system will remember your referrals indefinitely as long as they return to accessoryfoundry.com at least once a year.

Shipping information

Orders are usually shipped within 24 hours. Your order will ship ground via USPS priority flat rate which typically takes 2-3 days with in the United States (5-10 days for international). You will receive an email that your order has shipped. If an order is backordered or cancelled, this information will be emailed to you as well.

Your items will arrive nicely packaged with tissue and organza bags (item permitting) so if your order should be a gift, there is no need for wrapping paper. A packing list without prices will be enclosed and will contain instructions for returns.

Shipping to the United States:

Standard shipping is currently just $5 and is free for orders of $50 or more.

Shipping to Mexico and Canada:

Due to increased shipping costs, international shipping is somewhat higher. Standard shipping is currently $10. For orders of $50 or more shipping is $5. For orders of $100 or more shipping is free. Tracking may not be available.

Shipping to all other countries internationally:

Due to increased shipping costs, international shipping is somewhat higher. Standard shipping is currently $15. For orders of $50 or more shipping is $10. For orders of $100 or more shipping is free. Tracking may not be available.

Returns and exchanges

We will accept returns for items in original condition within 14 days of our shipping date. Return instructions will be included with your order. Refunds will be credited back to the original form of payment. Return shipping charges cannot be refunded; however, if you opt to receive store credit instead of a refund we will issue you an additional $5 towards your next order.

Items purchased between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be returned through January 5 (postmark date).

Cancel an order

If you wish to cancel an order, simply email us with your order number as soon as possible. Only orders that have not been shipped can be cancelled. Your order amount will be refunded to the original form of payment less 30 cents for payment processing.

Preorders

Some of our fab finds can be preordered should our stock on hand sell out. We will notify you of your item's approximate arrival date. Many of our items are handmade for us but they are worth the wait!

Price adjustments

If an item you purchased goes on sale within seven days, contact us and we will credit you for the difference. Special promotions and discounts cannot be applied retroactively.

Privacy & security

Any information collected on our site is used to help your shopping experience and allow us to deliver products, inform you about your order processing, product information and promotion information. Your information will not be rented or sold to any third party.

Your order is placed over a secure URL. We use a SSL (secure socket layer) to ensure that your credit card and personal information is secure.

Affiliate program for your website, blog

Site errors

We do our best to portray our products accurately. Please note that color accuracy may be somewhat monitor-dependant and the way your monitor displays color is outside of our control. If a typographical error occurs, we reserve the right to cancel the order.
